Drivers for Canon CLC 3200 and Canon IRC 2380

Any ideas where can get these drivers for Snow Leopard, I heard that Canon would release drivers 2 - 3 weeks after the launch of Snow Leopard but the latest Canon printer driver download from Apple does not include these models, any ideas?

Hello Franck W,

To access the printer menus, you need to change the view from the simple print dialog to the expanded print dialog. This is done by clicking the triangle next to the printer name. This will expand the print dialog and let you select the Quality menu, where you can adjust the Quality Settings > Graphics Mode setting to Raster Mode.

Hi PAHU,
Thanks for your answer.

I accessed once the expanded print dialog. I made the change. I worked fine. But since, every time when I want to print, it crashes before accessing the single print dialog. From any app I use.

When I'm changing the printer to use (via System Pref.), I can access again the dialog box. But not when I select back the Canon IRC 2380.
It is since I saved the setting with Raster Mode that I cannot access the print dialog...

Hello Pahu
I am in a similar situation to these guys and I'm hoping you may be able to help! At my office we run the Canon iRC2380i so I have downloaded the URF2 v 2.00 from your link and installed it on my macbook OSX 10.6, hoping this might help. However when I send a page to print I get one line of text and then blank pages. The text I get is always:
%!PS-Adobe-3.0 %APL DSEncoding:UTF8 %APLProducer: (Version 10.6.2 (Build 10C5

Please help! Thanks

Hello maggyem and welcome to Apple Discussions.

The printed pages you are getting indicates that you have chose a PostScript PPD when creating the printer queue instead of the iRC2380 UFRII setting. When a machine does not have support for PostScript it will print pages of random characters and the PS header you are getting.

So, I suggest you delete the current printer queue and add it again, this time ensuring you select "Canon iR C2380/2550 UFR II (UK)" in the Print Using menu.

We are under 10.6.2 and own a CLC 3200.

We are now able to print with all the options installed, thanks to the CLC 3200 PPD and the efi patch ( http://services.efi.com/support/drivers/download2.asp?oem=efi&sys=Applemac_osx106&ver=NA).

We had to manually add the printer using the IP panel, and LPD printer daemon, add "print" for the queue name. Then, we selected the proper PPD in the list.

We have now everithing working. The only bug appears when we try to print with a 64 bit application.
In this case, the dialog will show up and it is possible to print, but the "Owner information" panel will not appear. This means that if your printer needs a user number to print (ID), as we use it for our clients, you will not be able to enter it.

We found this solution : Close the application. Ask the information panel for it, click the 32 bit box, and relaunch it. You will then be able to enter a nimber in the Owner information panel, and print !

Hope this will help some of you that share the same printing problems...

after i went to system preference>print&fax add a printer with Ip address withthte LPD protocol change the "print using" for the canon IR C3200-C1 Ver2.1 d

the picture of the printer is not the good one and when i want to print the printer paused.

I managed to get it to work in Mac OSX 10.6.2 on all our iRC printers (several types).

For download at Canon go here:
http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0036890.asp?model=

Please note: it still printed black/white, BUT:
When you set ALL color settings NOT to be defined by the printer but sRGB it will work 100%. Great Canon for your bad support. Thank us happy users to work it out.

I made a small manual with screenshots to download four all of you right here how to set-up your printer:

easy going!

Hope this works out for all of you, happy colour printing!

Hey all,

I've been looking around for hoursnow for a solution, so maybe one of you knows.

AT work we have a canon irc2380i scanner/printer. It should be able to print pdf in A3 (afaik) but I can't make it work properly. When I set all options to a A3 print it either gives me a part of the pdf on a4 or a part of the pdf (a4 size) on an A3 sheet. I've phoned the canon helpdesk, but they know even less about mac then I do.

I've installed a driver, and the helpdesk guy says I still have to set it that the printer recognizes it.

any ideas of what I should/could do to make my printer print A3?

Hi Pahu -

I am still having trouble after all of these months printing from Mac OS 10.6.2 to a Canon iR C3220 via IP. There is not a box on the back of the printer so I do not believe that this is a "fiery" printer.

I have downloaded both PPD v2.85 and in the past v2.80 and run the install. I open and enter the LDP for Protocol and the address for my printer. I leave Queue blank. Under "print using" I enter "select printer software" and navigate to "Canon iR C3220" and select ok. Then I click on "Add."

The printer options are minimal and seem to still look generic to me. I still cannot print in color and have few of the options that I had prior to upgrading to 10.6. The only way that I can print anything in color at this point for the last 6 months is to reboot using boot camp and enter into Windows mode and print from there. Very annoying and very time consuming.

Do you have any ideas of what I am doing wrong?

Thanks for your dedication to this forum and helping us all out. Sorry to be a nuisance and thanks for your help in advance.

Regards,
Craig
