Mini display port to HDMI problem

Good call. I just submitted feedback about this issue.

I have and HDMI connection through a mini dvi adapter on my macbook.

When I attach the HDMI cable to my compputer all I see is my backgroud image.

Doe this make any sense??? Why is this?

if I may ask your comment on " miniDisplayPort to DVI adapter with a DVI to HDMI cable " conbination, does this work with Lion ?

I just bought a Rocketfish brand mini displayport to HDMI adapter from bestbuy and brand new HDMI also from bestbuy. tried plugging them into a plasma and a LCD tv..no luck can anyone help?

This is also an issue for me on my MBP, 2.66 GHZ, the mini digital out will not connect to TV's via HDMI.

Well, unfortunetly I am not able to provide a solution but I am having exactly the same problem since I installed LION. I already tried using different HDMI cables and TVs but still does not work.

Have you tried the cables sold at the Apple Store? I am currently using monoprice (does not work), and am considering to get ones from the Apple Store.

Well, it used to work ... only stopped working after the upgrade.

Get the Moshi adaptor and a Toshiba TV, that combination works, if it's a MacMini you won't need the adaptor.

I sent the adaptor back to Cablesson and they gave me a working replacement. I guess they have changed something in their hardware too. Now works for both my MBP and Macbook. 🙂

uhmm i buy it to ebay... may be i need to contact cablesson or Ebay?
