Take it back and try another,
sky1eagle1, already try 3 different hdmi. not working, last nite upgrade to lion 1.7.1 also doesnt help so much. will try to borrow mdp hdmi from someone...
bazokajoe_2k, how you make windows 7 bootcamp working to extend the desktop to external display, trying myself to upgrade the driver and etc etc not manage to get the extend desktop function.
doesn't work on windows, windows+p doesnt show anythings.
Which laptop are you using (build, year, graphics card)?
im using mbp 15 mid 2010, with nvidia 330m
i end up buying new mdp-hdmi cable (brand kanex) cost me about 40 dolar. that solve all the proble. sigh....
I'm having the same problem with my 2010 MBP.
Were you able to find a solution?
Thanks
Well my connection didn´t work in my Samsung LCD, using the last update of Lion.
I changed the HDMI cable (expensive one) and another tv (Bravia EX72 series) and now it works!!
I've had a couple people tell me that the mini displayport to HDMI connecter causes the logicboard to overheat and so shorten the MBP's life expectancy. Any truth in this?

No
Same here! 10.7.2 solved it for me completly.
Apple...Thanks fo listening.
Make sure you're running OS X 10.7.2 and have all associated updates installed. (Run -> Software Update). Do you? If you didn't, does this fix the problem?
The upgrade to Lion was supposed to be part of the fix, straight to 10.7.2 followed by Software Update before trying to connect to the TV, no fix.
The Moshi seems to be recommended as a good choice, it's on sale at the Apple store.
