When will i5 and i7 Quad Core iMacs actually be shipped?

i have ordered my imac 27" i7 with 8gb memory and apple remote. it says that it will ship on the 26th nov and be delivered 4th dec.

I ordered from 800-myapple (Apple directly). On my order status page the ship date is still Nov., but the agent yesterday indicated first week of Nov.

I too have an i7 ordered. Order status shows as 27" iMac - 4850-512, which obviously refers to the GPU. Strange way to show the order though as the GPU is standard in the Quads. I was expecting to see Core i7 there as this was the option I paid for. If I'd ordered a 27" C2D with 4850 option then I'd expect it to show that. My order confirmation email from Apple shows the correct details. Just wondered if anyone else has this?

Thanks stockdoc - I ordered mine ET around 8-9pm so hopefully it'll come by mid-November...mine wasn't planned either heh, my Powermac actually started screwing up on me literally two days before and I was all set to buy the current Mac Pro when the new iMacs were released so things worked out on my end as well.

I ordered my iMac on the 23rd, order status still says November, with no more specific details than this. Would have expected a company as large as apple to be able to be more specific with their logistics but oh well... Hope it comes soon though - could use it for some Circuit simulations for uni project....

i ordered over the phone. i live in uk so i assume that US will get it before us.

I ordered the 27" i7 on the 21st and the ship date still says November. I hope others will let everyone know when their ship status changes.

Judging by what i've read, major hold up for the quad cores is simply a video card shortage of the 512MB ATis.
I think that if you ordered yours the day it was available, expect a ship date somewhere between Nov1st-7th. If you ordered yours any day after that, add that number of days to the ship date. For me i ordered it the day after so i would expect it to ship from nov 2nd-nov 8th.

I guess I'm not sure when they were actually available for order. Like I said, I ordered on Oct 21st in the morning. When did they begin taking orders?

I live in NZ and ordered the Imac 2.8 core I7 last Tuesday, they said it would be here in November sometime, I guess in Taiwan they are furiously building them and as mentioned possibly waiting for graphics cards, I was of the understanding they would be shipped with the new Mouse, plus as a matter of preference and being an ol timer I will change just the keyboard and get the numeric keypad version, to **** with the horizontal laptop style numeric keys.

My Power Mac computer was purchased in 1995 so for the last 5 years I have been really hanging out for a decent upgrade and finally its here. Will suck it and see if the 4GB Ram is enough for a while and do an upgrade when it comes down in price.

I just got off the phone with Apple and the person I spoke with said they were hoping for the first week of November. Seems that Nov. 3 is pretty likely. I upgraded to next day air, so here's hoping for Nov. 4th!

No. Mine doesn't. It only says something like ZOGF/?? Along them lines
