Magic Mouse swipe stopped working

Everything else works fine - zoom, scroll, etc.. Two finger swipe worked great yesterday for navigation. Just stopped working today. And, yes, I did check that Swipe is enabled in Mouse Preferences.
I did installed couple of new SW since yesterday ( iWorks, Skype.. ) so wondering if it's SW issue or HW defect?

Anyone else had the same problem?

PS - I did called support number , but they put me on hold forever.....

Mine was working fine until I installed 10.6.2, now the magic mouse swipe and all trackpad swipes are broken. I've tried Rebooting, repairing permissions, removing the bluetooth pairing, removing the magic mouse preferences file. Nothing seems to help.

I am seeing a lot of the following message in the system log:

2009/11/10 9:32:55 AM /usr/libexec/hidd[41] IOHIDEventQueueEnqueue: Error enqueuing memory. (0xe00002e8)

I can confirm that force quitting the window server solves the problem.
If it's only temporary is to early to say.
In my case there were no magic mouse drivers installed prior to the 10.6.2 update.

I really don't think that this question should be regarded as answered since every solution posted here is a workaround!
Apple needs to look in to this more.

Ok finally a solution.. I fixed my problem..

Now I know people have been discussing different issues regarding the mouse and the reasons why it doesn't work on this thread, however i will tell my side of the story and some of you might resolve your own issues with this method.

So after dealing with this issue for a while, i narrowed it down to my airport.. Whenever the airport is in use via network or high internet traffic the mouse would be sluggish or even loose connection.. When i turn the airport off and plug a cable instead everything was smooth like silk... So after trying every single thing that people recommended on this board, i took my imac in to a apple store (again!!) and surprisingly it worked perfectly. I felt like a idiot and took the computer back home. In the end i decided to move the computer around the house, cause if it worked fine in the apple store maybe it will work fine someplace else in my house.. Figured there might have been some interference from something around my work desk.. So after moving it all over the house i realized that it worked everywhere but on my work desk.. So my final solution was to move my time capsule away from the imac since it was sitting like 5 inches away from it. I moved it about 7 to 8 feet away from the computer and puff.. problem was gone.. Everything works great now! So i guess the time capsule was creating some sort of interference with the bluetooth antenna..

Problem solved.. now moving on to figure out why my windows 7 boot camp crashes after going to sleep... 😟 lol another month most likely... hehehe

Good luck to rest of you

So this question is listed as "answered" but it clearly isn't.

Anyway, here is something that fixed it for me, for the time being.

I was thinking about what I changed prior to me losing functionality, and I remembered that I disabled my Airport and hid it from the menu bar. The second I enabled the Airport, I regained the ability to use the magic mouse swipe. I then disabled the Airport and still retained the swipe ability. I will post a follow up the second anything changes. Judging by the other posts here, I'm assuming I will lose swipe functionality again.

I figured I would post this for those who couldn't get any of the other "fixes" to work. Hopefully apple will have a fix for this soon.
