Magic Mouse swipe stopped working

Everything else works fine - zoom, scroll, etc.. Two finger swipe worked great yesterday for navigation. Just stopped working today. And, yes, I did check that Swipe is enabled in Mouse Preferences.
I did installed couple of new SW since yesterday ( iWorks, Skype.. ) so wondering if it's SW issue or HW defect?

Anyone else had the same problem?

PS - I did called support number , but they put me on hold forever.....

Well, Apple support finally fixed swipe problem for me and it's working again.
They walked me through 3 step reset process and Mouse was good to go with swipe function after that. I do not think I remember all exact steps they asked me to do, so not posting it here.

They also advised me that new system update will fix the issue when available. If swipe stop working for me again I'll just wait for update.

This problem has also happened to me. I have the MacBook Pro 13 inch - June 2009 version, a 24 inch Apple Display and the Magic Mouse and Bluetooth Apple Keyboard.

There doesn't appear to be any obvious trigger for this loss of functionality. It can be working fine and then in the next minute it just stops allowing me to use the 2 finger swipe on Magic Mouse and the 3 finger swipe on the MBPs trackpad.

What makes it more frustrating is that rebooting the MBP sometime seems to fix this temporarily and other times it does not fix it. Now, for example, I have just booted up afresh and the swipe feature does not work on the mouse or trackpad.

I can only assume this is therefore a significant issue that is effecting all if not most Magic Mouse users. In which case, how do we get this issue raised with Apple?

Think the only option is to phone them, as they don't provide a feedback link on for this product (very annoying!!!)

I've been lucky - mine simply 'fixed itself' - although for all I know the problem could come back again.

I'm doubtful this affects a great deal of users - I'm pretty sure this thread would be a lot longer by now (and there would be far more buzz about it on the rest of the internet). So for now, we are the lucky few!

I have the same problem, and I'm pretty sure it's Bluetooth related. Using an external BT Receiver fixed the problem, for a while. Now stuck again. Very annoying, no clue on the interwebs (SMC, reset, oher bluetooth mice, delete pres etc. didn't help). Work fine on my Air, though.

I bought two of these mice and am (as happening very often lately) less than impressed by the product. It's not exactly a 5$ honkong gadget.
