INTEL SSD firmware update. Anyone had success?

After trying the latest Parallels, XP and the 'Intel SSDToolbox' with very scary results, I realized I might be approaching this the wrong way.

My guess:
1. Backup SSD
2. Use Bootcamp & XP (all I got)
3. Boot from XP disk (all I got)
4. Update firmware
5. Boot into SL
6. Vola?

any thoughts?

I've been trying for a couple days to update my Intel 160GB SSD drive with the ISO and had little luck.

I finally was able to by moving the SSD from the bay closest to the front of the machine (bay 1) to the one next to it (bay 2). I've seen posts by people who have done this on the 2009 mac pro, but little about what their configuration was and how they were able to detect it.

Just updated to the new firmware (O2HD) just released.

The platform independent process went completely smoothly.

The only part I don't know how to do is the separate verification process, which does not seem to be platform independent. However the actual update process includes a verification stage and confirmed that I had O2HD, as does HD Tune in Windows.

Quickbench results nearly identical, so don't know what happened to the claimed increased write speeds, perhaps only apply in Windows.

New Toolbox release .due soon
