I have had my Magic Mouse set at max. speed since I got it five months ago. It has always disconnected and still does
i tried changing the tracking speed within seconds the issue occurred (for the umpteenth time) again.
I tried that. No luck.
I was having this problem. I found a very simple solution. Better quality batteries! I'm using enegizer MAX AAs, and I haven't had the problem since. Hope this helps!
Try the practical solution. It worked with me since 3 days now. Switch off the bluetooth on Ihone if you have, or any other bluetooth device too close to the magic mouse and the mac.
Same problem. No official word from Apple? I see this problem dating back several years here.
Tried trashing the file and it worked instanly with no more lag! Thank you for the tip!
What were the batteries you used Kathleen?
Thanks very much "paper, cut it down to size, and made a shim. I placed it on top of the batteries before replacing the battery door." worked the trick, nice and straghtforward, thanks
I have this problem only since I upgraded to Lion.
The only time I've lost connection with the magic Mouse is thru low battery power, both SNL and lion
Did it. Thanks Barry. Now we'll see if it has any significant effects. I appreciate the tip.
Tom
Yup this worked perfectly. The 1.2V Apple rechargable batteries do not work well with the magic mouse.
My symptoms are still similar using 1.5v Duracells, so 1.2v rechargables can't be the answer.
No good for me Steve. In fact it created more problems when I tried to "fix" the issue.
