Wirless Keyboard does thisssssss

My Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard for my iMac G5 just today has been not working properly. It repeats letters at random times like this: helloooooo. At that point, the keyboard loses the connection, and I just wait there until the connection returns. At that point you can delete the extra letters, until it does this all again. Can anybody help me? (The batteries are fresh btw) Thanks.

Hi Dean,

Thanks for the follow-up. My iMac has the internal card. I remember going to the Apple store the day after the 1 ghz machines were introduced in Feb. '03 and being disappointed to find out that BT had to be special ordered.
I was an early adopter with the BT keyboard when they came out and have had a love/hate relationship ever since. Apple replaced the original and I bought another one late last year. I'm up to date on all firmware & software but still have the original intermittent repeatttttttting issue!
As far as I know, there aren't any troubleshooting tricks that I've missed and AppleCare expired last month. The problem really isn't something I've bothered to pursue further. When I get sufficiently annoyed, I just dig out the USB keyboard!

My keyboard is 1.5" from my Maaaac Mini - don't know if angle could help for such a small distance?

For such a common prroblem I would expect Apple to want to get to the bottom of it ... set up a test lab, or whateveeeer, and post a fix - could take pressure off their support staff if easy.
However, if there is a known hardware problem the I could understand whay it would be kept quiet ...
