Motorola HS820 Headset

This may be a really dumb question but I have a Motorola HS820 Headset and cannot get it to work with my new powerbook which has bluetooth built in. I want to use the Headset for iChat and Skype.

Do I need to use a D-Link adapter?

Any help or guidance would be gratefully received.

I'm having very similar problems. I have an HS810 headset. It pairs fine with my PB (1.5 GHz, built in BT). However, it does not show up as an option in the Sound preference panel. I also have an HS850, one of the new headsets with BT 2.0. That one pairs fine, and does show up in the Sound preference panel. However, the performance is at best inconsistent. When I use it with Skype, about half the time it works OK, and the rest of the time it crashes the program, forcing me to do a forced quit. Similar behavior when I try to use it with iChat.

Both headsets worked flawlesly under Panther.

hi,
I was able to pair easy, and it seems to work fine with skype, but the other person says they don't hear me too well.
also, I noticed that if I don't wait for the Motorola HS820 Headset to "hang up"
(the little beep) after I hang up the skype, and try another call, it crashes skype, and also I twice had to power reboot, (which almost never happens!) for no apparent reason.
does anyone have ideas?
