Airport wont pick up any networks after sleep

my imac was asleep for over 6 hours yesterday and when I went to wake it I was able to connect to the internet, so I think the fix that I posted from Apple Support does work. let me know if it works for anyone else.

A disk repair, as well as resetting pram, is always the first thing I do when I have a problem with any of my apple computers. It did not solve the issue.

I'm downloading the 10.6.2 update which is supposed to have a firmware update in it. Hopefully that will help. I've been plugged in via ethernet over the weekend - no issues.

I have been having the same problems with my new IMAC since I purchased it. When I wake it up the computer cannot find the wireless connection. I have another IMAC with none of these problems.
In order to reconnect with the network, I have to reboot the computer.
What is going on here?

Can anyone confirm if 10.6.2 resolves this issue as stated earlier?

The current really environmental unfriendly solutions is to only let the display sleep, and not the computer itself.

10.6.2 has not fixed the issue in my new iMac 21.5" system. I am experiencing all of the difficulties staying connected, and even detecting, my wireless network as I was before the update.

My Macbook Pro still has ZERO issues. I sure hope it isn't the airport card, which it seems like it is, as I live in Peru and there's no way for me to get it replaced soon.

Haven't had a chance to call support yet. May try that right now.

I was just told, after being put on hold by the greenest customer rep ever, that there have been no other complaints about this issue and that I should talk to their wireless networking department because it isn't a problem of the iMac.

Sadly the large amounts of hold time used up my time so I never really got any help.
