Dead Airport Express - no light at all

I have tried plugging and unplugging it. I get a flash of a light right when I plug it in, but then it goes dead - no light at all. I have tried both a hard reset and factory settings reset, to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?
THanks,
liz

Success, following a letter to Apple customer relations they have agreed now to replace my failed AEX under my AppleCare cover on my powerbook (the AEX not purchased at the same time as my Powerbook). All I have to do now is take the old one to a service centre to declare that it has a hardware fault ie. not otherwise damaged and I can get a replacement. 'palaisdementhe' I would definitely look at persuing a replacement under your Applecare cover, the wording is 'owned' and 'used' etc. Anyway I am very grateful to the information and advice given in this thread. Thanks.

Hi, here is another one added to the list. My airport express just died - no lights, no signs of life anymore, just after 14 month of use. 3 month after warranty. Apple in Switzerland wont replaced it since it's out of warranty (12 month).
I'm very angry with all this. Apple seems to want us just buy products, that cost already quite a lot of money.
I'm never going to buy another AE. Going to look for another WIFI system.
If anyone is considering buying an airport express base station an is reading this forum, take this advice. Put your money on another WIFI system.
