iTunes 9 keeps asking for my password

(I think since upgrading to +iTunes 9+ - certainly only recently) iTunes keeps asking for my password (for Store), even though I have 'Remember Password' checked.

Anyone any ideas, please?

TIA!

I have the same problem. I bought a TV series and have 4 episodes left to download. I had to disconnect at one point and then I tried to continue my download. It prompted me for my password and then transferred me to my account details. It continues to ask me for my password and I continue to put it in. Eventually it says 'error = 8003'. *** do I do?? I've never had this happen where I can't solve it on my own. HELP!

BEWARE - I had all the above symptoms - repeated password requests without my taking any actions at all such as buying tunes etc, and the appearance of my account data page without my requesting it. Somehow I solved the problem, first by attempting to use an older version of iTunes - the version 9 file format is not compatible - and then reinstalling and rebooting my system and it went away. HOWEVER, a couple days later I was contacted by my credit card fraud department - the card on file at Apple - and starting that or the next day a huge pile of charges had been made by someone else on the CC to buy stuff from iTunes and from Xbox LIve. I had not used the card for anything for over a week prior to this series and not since the problems with the iTunes behavior. This is suspiciously tied to the event. (MY purchase history for iTunes does not show the transactions, so the card was used in another account apparently). I am now using Macscan to search fro spyware etc and so far have found nothing. Anyone else have that experience?

I don't know if this is the solution but when I got tired of it asking, I selected forgot my password, changed it, then signed out and signed back in to iTunes. After I verified my account information it connected again and I stopped getting the errors and my downloads stopped timing out. Might be enough to just sign out and sign back in but its a start.
