Time remaining: Calculating.... but no indication of time yet after +30m

I want to backup from TC, using SL DVD.
I selected the backup I need, it starts "restoring"... below it says: Restoring files (0.0%)...
Time remaining: Calculating...

How hard can it be?
He is doing so since more then 30 min. Is this normal procedure?
We are talking about a 70GB restore...
Just be patient? Or is there a way to find out if something got stuck?

so, TC shows up in AU, right ? when you click +manual setup+, what are the readings in the summary tab ?

false alarm..again TC is not on AU.

drat that stubborn little bugger

i'm kind of running out of options, mate. could be you have a faulty unit but i can't be sure, of course.

if it's still inside the warranty period, take it to an authorized Apple dealer or an Apple store near you. if you're lucky they'll replace it on the spot.

just to let you know..
I disconnected TC for a few hours, finally got it back working,
can't believe it 🙂 also everything is still intact on TC and
now using migration assistant... it is doing his calculations.. I hear TC working so to me it sounds fine
hopefully it will work out this time smoothly
