Well I went to the re-seller's shop yesterday to ask if they had any news about the delivery of the i7 and the answer was no. I asked to cancel my order since I ordered it 2 months ago and I didnt ask any extra ram but just the model with the i7 CPU. The employee from the shop said I would receive soon an email by the owner. I received it today with a dry ''no''. He said that my order was a customized computer and it was impossible. He didnt even apologize for the delay and he didnt give me any hope for possible delivery. He only asked me to have patience a bit longer. The shop was ''Switch'' in Antwerp

Hey guys, I went to my local apple store in Switzerland, and they said me Apple had stopped the i7 production due to a overheating problem of the processors (might it be the power supply instead, as i read ? dunno)

They will refabricate them and launch a 2nd start by the end of the year. So I'm still waiting untill early 2010.

I can just tell you that these machines are well worth the wait. I have had mine since Nov 16th. It has none of the various problems people are reporting; it is just fantastic. When you get yours go here:

I have Bose USB speakers attached and both the video and sound rocks:-)

Don't worry; you aren't missing much. It's just what appears to be an old Bruce Springstein video. I'm really not sure of the actual date, as I am not a Bruce Springstein fan. But then, I am not much of a music listener at all. 🙂

The date is 1984.....Dancing in the Dark. It's been put up in HD to replace the old fuzzy one.Courtney Cox looks pretty cool too. And when you guys get your new i7s you will see how good it is:-)
What poor country has such copyright restrictions that you can't watch youtube?

My Core i5 iMac is blocked in Louisville, Kentucky, with no stated delivery date. It was bought on Black Friday, November 27, 2009, from the Canadian online AppleStore, and delivery was previously scheduled for December 18, 2009. My credit card was charged on December 10 as the iMac shipped out from Shanghai, China.

It seems Apple caught a problem with the graphic card at the very last moment. AppleInsider reports a delay of 2 weeks for all new deliveries for Apple to investigate the problem and change graphic cards. At least, I won't have to return a 19,38 kg package (about 44 pounds).

I wonder if I will have a discount for having to pay my iMac a long time BEFORE it is delivered. I will check my email for a notification and credit note from Apple. How about $300, just slightly more than 10% of the purchase price? It would make the 2 TB upgrade a gift for the time I had to wait. How about it, Apple?

I had my 27" i7 shipping notification today - so not sure if that article is entirely accurate - I hope not anyway!

FYI : I'm in the UK. Ordered 27" i7 with applecare on the 1st December from apple.com

Apple care arrived today (I had an email today from apple saying they were sending everything separately as it might be a Christmas present) and the iMac is expected to arrive on the 18th according to the email (or the 16th according to the online tracking apple provide). Both shipped by UPS.

Original delivery estimate was ship the 15th and delivery on the 24th.

Today I checked the status at a german reseller (cancom) but there are no i7 / i5 models delivered yet.

i cant understand, why apple let their resellers staying in the rain.

im waiting for the i5 since 12.11.09

Please Apple, please send them 320 i5 Imacs, thats their backlog!!!

Does anybody know, if there is any reseller which get some i7 or i5 models ??

I just checked Apple order Status... My i7 order just went to prepared for shipment status - so I am committed <gulp>. It was originally scheduled to ship on the 18th and arrive on the 23rd...

Obviously the production line was never shut down. The delay must simply be due to to getting more orders than expected and the reports on the reasons for the shipping delay erroneous.
