My Core i5 iMac is blocked in Louisville, Kentucky, with no stated delivery date. It was bought on Black Friday, November 27, 2009, from the Canadian online AppleStore, and delivery was previously scheduled for December 18, 2009. My credit card was charged on December 10 as the iMac shipped out from Shanghai, China.

It seems Apple caught a problem with the graphic card at the very last moment. AppleInsider reports a delay of 2 weeks for all new deliveries for Apple to investigate the problem and change graphic cards. At least, I won't have to return a 19,38 kg package (about 44 pounds).

Have you seen any movement yet on your iMac yet, Pierre? I ordered an i7 from the same place on the same date, and I haven't had a UPS status update since Thursday:

I assume my computer is sitting somewhere in a holding area in Louisville (either that, or the cargo plane has been in a holding pattern around Louisville for the last 4 days). It seems unlikely to me that Apple would have somehow diverted already-shipped iMacs to address the graphic card issue, but this is a pretty long wait at this stage of the journey, especially considering today was listed as my estimated delivery date last week!

to be honest Bob, I wouldn't be that angry. Mine was shipped the day before they cancelled all the 27" shipments. Apple states that they did it because of the major malfunctions of many screens but I haven't heard or read ANY official Apple statement on what website so ever.

What I am trying to say is, be happy that yours is delayed, perhaps the chances are smaller that you will have one of the issues then. And I, as the person who swapped to Apple because of this model, regret that decission every day.

I am wondering if I might still be able to cancel my order

does anyone else that was supposed to get their imac on the 24 the status changed?

Also ordered a 2.8MHz, i7, 27" iMac on December 7 (with a delivery date of Dec 24) and Apple Order Status says it's been shipped (it's in Shanghai CN).

It's a week 50 model.

How can we tell what week the iMacs are made?
