Bluetooth Mouse - Suggestions?

I'm looking for a multi-button BT mouse that will work perfectly with my PowerBook. My top candidate is Macally's BTmouseJR for price and how Macally has given me reliable good products in the past. Any suggestions or support for my decision?

I just bought the BT mouse from IOGEAR also... it works great, once its connected. It can take a long time to find it, if at all. most of the time i have to do bluetooth setup and have it re-pair the connection. Has this occurred with you at all?
When i go into 'Devices' in the bluetooth preference pane, and click on the bluetooth mouse, it says that they are not paired.
Have you had any of these same issues?

I have none of the problems that you have seen. I also see that the BT mouse is not paired. The one thing that I did different is to add the device to my favorites. Maby that is what will fix it up for you. I also ran the Apple BT update after installing the mouse, it takes about 5 minutes to update the firmware in both the mouse and the PowerBook. Let me know if this helps.

I have been using the Mouse BT by MacMice. Overall, besides the lack of a cord (and no dongle) I haven't been very impressed. I probably would have taken it back except my local Mac store won't accept a return unless it is broken.

Adjusting the trackpad speed to the fastest helps some with the lag but it is still there. Same with the scrolling.

Hi all,
To answer some questions about the MX900 and Mac-tops:
Logitech doesn't have any official drivers for the mouse, but this doesn't stop you from being able to use all the buttons (as pointed out by another poster above). Just go into the preferences for Expose and you can assign the different actions to the buttons. Including the scroll-wheel's click there are 8 buttons. Left-click, right-click for contextual menus (same as using the Ctrl + click on single button mice), the forward and back thumb buttons for web navigating mostly, the top button which I assigned the "Desktop" Expose feature and two scroll buttons that are helpful for scrolling through long documents.

The MX900 has an included USB Bluetooth hub/cradle for use with non-BT computers. When you put the mouse in the cradle it recharges the included rechargable AA batteries. This is one of my favorite features as I hate wasting batteries or using rechargables and having to swap them out all the time.

It's a very comfortable mouse for my large hands and has excellent response with no lag whatsoever. Plus it looks really cool! hahaha

Ok, so now the bad stuff. It only comes in right-handed orientation from what I could find. I sometimes accidentally hit the top button when grabbing the mouse. Some people might complain about the price, but if you use a computer as much as I do, the price is nothing. Especially when spread out over the course of a year and more! And this is my gripe with Apple:

The default settings for the latest BT firmware upgrade allows BT devices to "wake this computer". It took me a while to figure out why my batteries were being depleted so much while by laptop and mouse were in the carrying case. Once I was in a quiet environment, I was able to hear the hard drive spinning whenever I moved the mouse. Even though the cover was closed!

So all things considered, the Logitech MX900 and Macs work very well together. And besides, who needs third-party software when the device is natively supported?

I still love my Iogear BT mouse(used it about a month) there is a on/off button on the bottom. Its small!! About 1.25"wide, 1.25" tall, and 3" long. Press the scroll button and you get expose. Good battery life, and best is that you just plug it into it's usb cable and it charges itself in about 2 hours. Three year warrintee.
