Slow Download Speeds

I have tried to download a couple of different things recently but the speed is painfully slow.

iTunes 12 days of xmas video today is saying it will take 8 hours!
Free single of the week a painful 25 mins!

I also get the same problem using Front Row.

Internet link is via airport and according to most recent check (via speedtest.net) I am getting 6.21Mbps performance.

Things haven't always been this slow, which is why I have noticed such a change.

I have tried restarting several, times.
Can anyone offer any advice / help?

MacBook Pro 17", Mac OS X (10.6.2)

Just tried this; While it would be inaccurate to say it's exactly fast now, it is noticably better. Thanks for the tip.

For the record, I'm on Orange too.

I'm also on Orange, this has been a problem for a least a month, maybe more. It seems strange that the problem is limited to orange, to be fair there are a lot of posts on the boards about slow downloads on iTunes 9. Most of the suggestions are to turn off Genius but had no effect for me.

I'm experiencing the same problem, and I'm with Orange too.

Emailed them, but got a very unhelpful reply.

I've tried downloading my purchase from a computer on a different
network and there was no problem. I'm very suspicious that it's Orange doing something sneaky,
and very annoying!
