iTunes Error 42408 After 9.03 Upgrade

I am receiving the error 42408 after upgrading to 9.03. Google did not yield any results. The error appears attempting to authorize my Powerbook.

PowerBook G4, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

I am becoming aware of a new means to "sync" with Apple and PC products. It is named "doubletwist" This program apparently does not have conflicts with Apple products and sync with all iTunes type products... Does anyone know more about "doubletwist?" Is this the answer to this "42408" problem for iPhone, ATVs and iPods???
I know you can goggle it to find out more....

It does appear to be a 9.0.3 upgrade issue, since the problem seems to have started after I upgraded a month ago. My library does not have a "kind" attribute, so I couldn't test that method, but trashing the SC folder did the trick. I followed the steps indicated (closed all programs, moved the SC folder to the trash, restarted computer). I did attempt to reauthorize my computer, but iTunes said it already was, so that probably wasn't necessary. I was then able to buy a song right away. I have to assume this is a bug in the 9.0.3 upgrade - the installation routine should fix the SC folder issue automatically, not force the user to go through this nonsense.

Thanks for the help, Roy!

So, none of this works.

The SC folder? Not on my computer.

The files on the iPod that I should delete? Those aren't on my 1st gen iPod either.

Dragging the icon to the trash and starting over? Fail.

I can deauthorize the computer all day long, and it accepts both ID and password.

Trying to authorize fails every time.

iTunes 9.03, you suck. I may be angrier with you and Apple right now than I am with Congress.

I have 68 songs that are 'unauthorized' that I f-ing *paid for*, damnit. Don't release crap upgrades, Apple. P.O.S. software.
