Having update issue

I'm stuck in some horrible screen telling me to connect my iphone to itunes after i attempted to update to the new software. I've turned off my antivirus/rebooted/tried a different usb cable and port all for nothing. I will try and uninstall itunes and reinstall it because that is another thing that was suggested but I'm wondering will I lose my sync data when I uninstall?

Hi there,

Hope you can sort this issue out for me 🙂.. I have an Iphone 3GS which is jailbroken (blackra1n), and by accident a friend of mine did the master reset thing after which i am not being able to switch it on.. all i would see on the screen is the USB cable which asks for an itunes conection. Which i did try, i was advised to run the blackra1n thing but it didnt work it still shows in recovery mode . what i've been told is that it has been upgraded from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 which as per my belief is wrong but at the same time restoring the phone is also not helping. Could you please suggest something on this as i am in a deep **. Would you suggest me to wait for the jailbreak for 3.1.3 to arrive or something else can be done!

Thanks

Darn sorry to say, but it didn't work
it always gives me the Error code 29, no matter what.
i've changed a computer, uninstalled Itunes completely according to the guide, didn't even need to restart the computer. (never was asked for)
tried over and over again, didn't work.
i've even tried to DFU the iphone and restore it to 3.1.3, nothing, if i'll use the iRecovery i get the software 3.1.3 but with the old basband, which i don't wanna.
anyone has other suggestions to solve it? i think i'll call my support and ask for replacement..
