Exchange Email - Cannot Get Mail, connection to server failed

I have a new iPhone 3GS, i can setup my exchange account through the iphone and the account comes back as verified, however i cannot get any mail. All i get is Cannot Get Mail, The connection to the server failed. I have tested my account settings on a Windows Mobile 6 device and it connects fine. Any ideas as this is now driving me crazy!!!!!!!

Thanks! After a bit of struggling with setting up one of our partners iphones this saved the day!

I had the same problem with a new ipad (ipad pro 9.7). My server had restrictions on how many devices I could connect. As soon as I deleted an old iphone and ipad that were connected it worked.
