Cannot connect to iTunes Store - Make sure your network connection is activ

I just upgraded to iTunes 9.1 on a MacBook running OS 10.5.8 and can no longer connect to the store. Software Update shows no available updates and I'm at a loss. I tried the method suggested earlier involving changing the parental control options and then changing them back to no avail. Any other suggestions? Not sure what other info to provide, but I'll gladly provide what I can.

rmore: Thanks for putting us on to that. The malformed URL was being rejected by Dansguardian. We were going to use your patch and then decided to downloaded DG 2.10.1.1. Looking at the source code around lines 900 showed a similar treatment of chopping the extra "." at the end of the URL. We compiled on our Xserve and all runs fine now.

So those admins facing the same problem can apply Rmore's patch or use DG 2.10.1.1. It seems to give Squid the correct URL. Too bad Apple just doesn't fix the malformed URL they put in iTunes 9.1.

Thanks for pointing us in the right direction.
