iBooks crash?

I downloaded iBooks about three times now. The first time and second times that I opened it I was able to dowload books and start reading them. When I tried the last time to do that, it started crashing. When I open iBooks, I can see my virtual bookshelf but only for about a second then it crashes and the iPad reverts to its home screen. I have tried syncing again as well as deleting and reinstalling iBooks but nothing works.
I have had no other problems with the iPad at all. I can even type on it pretty well and am quickly getting faster at that.
Any suggestions?

Yesterday I was sent on a 50 miles detour because ofthe new crappy map on my Iphone - thus loosing a potential contract with a new customer. Today I can't open my books and contracts archive on my old Ipad due to IBooks3. Luckily my Mac Book still works... but I don't trust the company anymore.

Both times I kindly mailed Apple to ask about solutions.

Of course I haven't got any reply!

DKbzz, I have used the maps 3 times & it was very accurate. I am on the west coast in a populated area. That may have something to o with it, many times I will use it even if I know where I am going.

I had problems with iBooks3 but discovered that it worked in line display. I clicked on the line display, then searched for a book that I knew was there. When the book i searched for and others came of I erased the search info & everything showed up. I have not tried the book display mode yet. I can read my books again.

It's baaaaaack.

I just upgraded my iPad 2 to iBooks 3.0.1 yesterday. Immediately iBooks started crashing. It opens for one second with a "welcome to iBooks..." message and then it crashes. I tried everything including deleting and reinstalling. It doesn't seem to make any difference. Anybody else experiencing this? I also upgraded on my iPod touch, but that works fine.
