Got an iPh 7 a few days ago, and now this irritating pop-up message from iTunes or iCloud or iTunes store asking me to log-in every second I cannot use my phone as I cannot do anything except cancel that message.
After reading various blogs and posts, and rebooting, restarting, signing in and out of iTunes and creating new accounts and all that, I realised the message pop ups only happened when I restored my phone from a previous back up (which did NOT have the problem). It did not happen when I set my phone as a NEW phone.
That was no good to me as I needed all my contacts etc.
Finally today, a solution (fingers crossed but that annoying message hasn't appeared in 2 hours):
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings (the very top option).
I do not know if resetting network options etc will work but I wasn't willing to take the risk anymore.
I lost my settings for alarms, ring tones, etc, but I still have all my messages, contacts, photos, apps and all.
I know some fixes help only some gadgets. This (hopefully) worked for mine.
People who still have this problem:
The itunes password window keeps 'popping up' because you have a paused download in the app store or itunes store.
I had the same problem, and then I remembered I paused a video download in the itunes store a few days before.
Just go into both stores, and check the downloads (categorised in the 'More' tab) either continue the download or stop it.
Hope this helps! :)
I don't have anything to download, paused or otherwise, on my nor my daughters iPads. The prompt seems to pop up randomly, but frequently within certain apps and the AppStore for sure. I haven't tried any of the other solutions suggested yet, but I do know about the downloads.
I tried this and it worked.
Press the home button and the on/off button simultaneously. Hold it until you see the apple logo.
This is to reboot the phone but your settings and apps will remain unchanged.
Thereafter, my phone has stopped asking me for my Apple Id login.
For me, the solution was to go to Safari > Preferences > Privacy, and change "Block cookies and other website data" from "Always" to "From third parties and advertisers."
Well, it is 2014 and I am still having this issue. So much for Apple employees working on this glitch. Every time I open iTunes on my Mac I am asked for my password four times in a row. I would love for someone at Apple to address this.
I also had iTunes asking me three times in a row for my password even if I entered it earlier. I had this problem for a while (since Mavericks I think), but I just noticed that if I empty all the albums from my Wishlist, the problem disappears. Hope it can help!
You are right! App was not fully downloaded.
It worked for my Iphone 6s after several other solutions recommended!!!!!
You have no idea how happy I am right now. What a royal pain. This solution has solved my problems. You do need to go and reset your ring-tones, alarms and basics but nothing major lost. THANK YOU!
