Screen Scratches easily watch out

Dust scratches?
Where do you live, a metal shop.

3 days-no case-no scratches.
I have wiped the screen several times with the small cloth from my iPhone, haven't had any problems.

Wow! That's a really happy ending. I'm so glad to hear it. And nice to know the screen doesn't scratch easily. I've had my iPhone for two years and not a scratch, though I am very careful.

Sweet! Glad you got that taken care of because it would have been a bad feeling knowing that something THAT new was slightly damaged. What they'll probably end up doing is refurbishing the unit and re-selling as an Apple Certified Refurbished Product. You can get some GREAT deals that way.

Any thoughts on a possible "OtterBox" type or brand case for the Ipad for more industrial use applications? This would possibly help with scratching problems. Mine has saved my Iphone on several occasions even one where I dropped it off my hip from on top of an elevator about 15'from the ground...I still have and use it. It may not be apple co item but even if it was expensive it would be more than worth it for my work situation as buying new ipads everytime I bumped or scratched would become a problem after the FIRST lol. Just wondering out loud as the case that is being sold with it will be awesome at home out of elements and without murphy's influence. Any ideas or insight?

You are one lucky duck! I let my kids play SOME games on mine but as soon as I see one of them getting upset that they have not gotten a turn, I take it right from them. I need an iPad junior for them to play with. Oh yeah, I have the first generation iPod touch they can have and fight over! LOL.

Well if a key can run along it and not scratch it then I would agree it is defective. I have read other tales on MacRumours where folks have seen scratches out of the box and Apple have replaced without question.

Hey mconk, I saw your previous post about connecting airport express to wififee. I live in your same apt complex and I'm trying to do the same thing. Did you ever get it to work for you?
