How do you put date in top time bar?

Hi, I would love to see the date displayed along with the time that's on the top of my iPad . Anyone know how to do this?
I can't find anyplace in the setting. Seems like a dumb oversight.

Actually those who don't know and want to know will see it in one of three ways. One way is by search, the second way is by the thread being seen at the top, and the third way is by the forum's way of showing these threads in the sidebar - "More Like This".

And then ... No matter how many other topics there are - "deserving" or not - people will only look at what they are interested in, anyway.

Not really a hugely popular topic, so scratch that one, just because it moved to the top doesn't mean anyone will be interested and More Like This is not affected by a recent posting. You posted to criticize someone else's response from a year old post. You added nothing new or of value.

As I said, there are many new posts every hour. Feel free to jump in and help out.

It might not be a popular topic - but if just one person finds it useful, that's all that matters. And the nature of forums and individual threads is that it really doesn't matter what a bunch of other people think, because only the people who are concerned and interested in a particular thread and topic will click on a thread to follow through. All the others who are not interested - won't. That's the nice thing about a forum such as this, it's "self-selecting".

It's the same source you use to imply the opposite - yourself ... :-) ...

I implied nothing about the larger community. I've never met anyone who wanted it and I don't want it myself. Those are simple statements of fact. They do not negate the possibility that "most users" want it. However, I've seen not facts to support that assertion.

How about a compromise. Apple can make it an optional setting, so people who want it, can use it. If you don't want it, you don't use...

Feature bloat. I'm opposed. The more tweaks you can make, the more chances things can go wrong and that people will become confused. I've spent more time than I would like explaining the two different options for the slider switch on the iPad.
