University of Phoenix students reaffirm the schools credibility by referring to themselves as UOP.
Ins4ever must have received a degree in stupidity from some state university, or worse yet some online degree mill. Reader Pro does indeed work for protected files by the way.
PDF Reader Pro $9.99 in the App Store. If you are a UOP student such as myself, I am here to tell you it works! Click on the link to download the entire book on the student site. When the book tries to open, tap on the screen of your iPad. In the top right hand corner, click the "open with" button and choose the PDF Reader Pro icon. You will be prompted to enter your username and password (same as you would for logging into the student site).
On a side note: To all of you that complain about everything, spend a little time investigating before you post to a forum. The purpose here is to help and to communicate with others in similar situations. Complaining is easy, finding a solution gives satisfaction. I didn't complain that UOP are not a perfect marriage, I just researched a little and found something that worked.
Technology is still in its infant stages. Be happy where it is. When I was a kid, we didn't even have cell phones. Be thankful for what you have and learn something new everyday.
To All,
I hope this resolves your issues. I too was looking for a solution to the password protected pdf files. However, I was told to download PDF Reader Pro ($9.99) in the Apple App Store, which I did and it did not work.
**** What you need to download is PDF Reader Pro Edition, some other developer purposely gave it the same name minus the Edition*******
There was no confusion, just someone stealing business from another developer. The PDF Reader Pro Edition works great and that was an expensive lesson!
My books were also secured by my school, but I was able to open them with PDF reader pro. Cost 10 bucks but it was worth it.
