Anybody have good signal but slow download/Youtube speeds?
I always get a full wifi signal with my ipad, but i'm getting very slow download speeds. I've tried many different speed test apps to check, but can't get conclusive results on how slow it is.
For example, my various speed test apps show:
Speedtest.net app: 4mbps (using closest server) to 20mbps (using more distant server)
Xtreme Labs Speed Test app: 0.3mbps
Cisco Speed Test app: 5mbps
Tests aside however, I find the most obvious indication of my slow download speed occurs when I try to watch a HD trailer on Youtube. It will take about 10 minutes to download a 2.5 minute trailer (i.e. I can't stream without a lot of stopping). On the other hand, my ipod touch (first gen) and macbook pro can stream the same HD trailers without stopping.
Anybody else noticing the same slow download speeds, particularly when watching a HD trailer on Youtube? How does your iPad youtube speeds compare to your laptop or ipod/iphone Youtube speeds?
FYI, I have a 20mbps internet connection and a 802.11n time capsule. Was on the phone with Apple Support for over an hour tonight and we couldn't get this resolved.
