Screen Burn-In

I would like to run a clock program 24/7 on my iPad but I am concerned about screen burn-in. There are a number of areas on this clock that do not change positions and I am concerned they may cause permanent burn-in. I can find opinions and guesses but I would like to know if anyone has ever run across anything official from Apple addressing this. Opinions range from "never happen" to "yes but it'll go away eventually". I would love to hear something official. Thanks!

You won't hear anything official here-we are users like you.
Apple does not respond on these forums.

The way LCD's work they do not get burn in-you may get a ghost image, but it goes away.

LOL.... Yes. I SHOULD have said that when I am not using it for other things I would like it running as a clock.

LCD's do not burn in because it doesn't contain phosper like the old projection and tube screens. You shouldn't have an issues with this with your big clock.

An iPad may be an expensive clock but I have clocks that cost more. 🙂

I wouldn't worry about burn-in.
