Wifi Will not remember proxy setting

I had this problem with IOS 7.1.1 and found a solution on the Weblock site (this App uses a proxy to block Ads).

Here's the solution from that page:

Select Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings). Please keep in mind that reseting network settings will remove all your saved Wi-Fi passwords and you'll have to reconnect to every network.

This solved the issue for me. Make sure you've written down your Wi-Fi passwords, IPs etc before you reset!

Thanks CM75. Your steps were the only thing that worked for me. I was having this problem on an iPhone 5s with iOS 8.1.2.

Steps from CM75:

1. Click on blue arrow for the wifi network, click on ignore, confirm.

2. Restart iPhone (probably optional)

3. Go to wifi settings, connect to desired network, enter login credentials, wait for connection to be established.

4. Click on blue arrow again, enter proxy details, go back to wifi settings.

5. Confirm that the proxy settings are now remembered.

What worked for me is :

1. Forget network.

2. Touch ℹ on the network before actually connecting to it and enter proxy settings.

3. Connect to the network. Proxy settings should stick around.

I found a solution that works. Go to WiFi settings and forget network

Re-enter network password and set manual proxy settings. When you then exit WiFi settings, it remembers the proxy settings

Forgetting the WiFi and reconnecting to it worked for me.

I have 5S with iOS 10. Were you trying to place the proxy server as just the IP address? It didn't save for me that way.

"8.8.8.8" - phone forgets it.

"http://8.8.8.8" - phone remembers it.

I went back and forth and then removed the "http://" part - phone still remembers it.

went to Settings->Wi-Fi->name of network and selected Forgot this Network. Then reconnected to the network, entered proxy settings and it worked.
