iPhone update server could not be contacted, but why ?

Hi!
I'm wondering why iTunes can't seem to contact the iTunes update/restore server. My iPhone needs to be restored and when I try, it extracts the software but it stops when it comes to contact the server, it says it is temporarily unavailable. I tried all Apple solutions on the support page, but I can't understand how can I check what ports are opens and if iTunes uses them or not...
Thanks.

Hello Chris,

Thank you for your help again.

I am so sorry, I can't tell you the whole story - my reply gets deleted -

somebody really "loves me" at Apple, probably because I own 4 Apple devices only

(should be 10 to tell the truth, I guess).

I never tried a jail-brake or anything, and I probably would never do.

However, now I understand other people.

This is wrong, when Apple corporate culture and manual moderation

ruins the image of America where free speech was on of the core values.

I understand, I was fooled.
