iPAd 3G Reserved at Retail Store-Delivery Time

Finally woke up to the email in my in box this morning. Did not think I would ever get that email!
2 weeks to the day for a 16GB 3g iPad at Fashion Valley store in San Diego

The location of my less than 2-day wait for a 3G/16 was Corte Madera, California (SF Bay Area north of the Golden Gate Bridge). Folks might want to try that location if you are anywhere within driving distance. They got a whole "shelf" of them last week that were reserved and seem to get them regularly but there is virtually nothing available for walk-ins.

Going on two weeks.

Ordered the 64gb 3G from the Century City (LA) store on 5/11, a Tuesday, and it's Monday the 24th.

Usually I'm not this impatient, but I've been playing with my neighbor's iPad, and I REALLY REALLY want it NOW!

Going on nearly two weeks for me as well for a 16gb 3G. Reserved at The Grove in Los Angeles on Tuesday 5/11 and still waiting. I was told by an Apple employee at the store that an in-store reservation would be much faster than ordering on-line and that it did not matter which store I placed my reservation at. Seems like that info was wrong on both accounts as other stores in the So Cal area seem to get them well under this time frame. Has anyone else reserved at The Grove around this same time and gotten theirs or can anyone shed any light on a wait time.

My biggest fear is that their email gets marked as spam, so not only do I check my inbox all the time, but I look in the junk mail folder too! And yes, I do have their entire domain added to my safe senders list, but not taking any chances!

I got my ipad email this morning! I plan on stopping by after work today to pick it up. And for what it's worth, the email came from insideapple.apple.com so you if anyone's worried about their email getting marked as spam, add that domain to your whitelist. Good luck to everyone who hasn't gotten theirs yet; hang in there!

I posted wondering about my wait time at 11:00am. My email telling me my iPad arrived came at 11:06am.

That's weird - you think they are reading this and bumping people up the list or you just got lucky?

Well today makes it officially 3 weeks (yes , 21 days for me and still no Ipad) - maybe the Irvine store is just too small and they don't care!

I highly doubt they read this and bump anyone up, but it is an amazing coincidence. When I first reserved, the guy at the store told me the size of the store didn't matter. However, a week after making my reservation for the Grove and thinking I was doomed to a month-long wait, I called other OC stores. The one in Brea told me on average their reservation list was 3-5 business days, Fashion Island was a week. So I would think the stores that are likely to have the smallest waiting list are your best bet, but then again, you have waited longer.

My "notify me" email telling me that me iPad was ready for pick up was from concierge@insideapple.apple.com

I went on the list at the Brea store on the 18th for the 64gb wifi-3g, they also told me it'd be 5-7 days. From what I've read, thats far from true!

I feel for ya'. I ordered mine on April 30th at 12:30 pm from Simply Mac (Reseller) in Orem, UT. STILL NOTHING and no answer from store employees...25 days and losing my patience.

@ fireheavy- I ordered mine from the Apple Store at the Gateway (SLC) on May 14, and it arrived on the17th. Might be worth a trip up from Orem. They told me it would be about a week to 10 days, and it arrived in 3. Anyway, good luck, hope you get yours soon.

Just got my notification, exactly (almost to the hour) 2 weeks, Tyson's Corner, Va. store.

reserved on May 14, still nothing, was told a week, been over 10days now --makes me wonder if ive been forgotten? 😟
