iPAd 3G Reserved at Retail Store-Delivery Time

I reserved an iPAd wi-fi plus 3G with 16GB memory at my local store on May 5. When do you think I can expect delivery? No help from Apple. Thanks.

yes, mine was about 90% charged when i got it on 05/19/10 so i'm letting it run down completely until it turns off before a full recharge (currently at ~46%)...i think that's the conventional wisdom, right?

I got my email today at 1 pm, about 3 hours short of 14 days. Picked it up, and starting to play. Sweet!

dumb question, but does the email for pickup tell you which store to pickup from?

Yes it tells you what store to pick it up from, and what model iPad you are picking up.

It took me 2 weeks. Naperville, il. Once I got to the store it took me over 45 mins to get my reserved iPad. I was put on a list once I got to the store. When I bought my iPhones I was in and out in minutes. One more thing. The big upsell. They will try to sell you apple care, docking stations, headPhones etc.

I am very disappointed with the customer handling when I got to the store. Other then that the ipad is great.

I am normally a patient buyer when it comes to computer products usually because I am always busy working. The ipad on the other hand has got me very impatient with my gf constantly wondering when will our reservation finally come through. I reserved 16gb 3g ipad on May 7th and it is now the 22nd "what the heck is going on lol". I looked through this discussion board and found that other people have been going through the same dilemma. Does anyone know what is going on with these in store reservations?

I got my ipad 16gb yesterday. I was put on the waiting list on may 6th. I was told 2-3 days and it was 15. For thoose of you waiting, stay strong and dont give up because the ipad is simply amazing. ...... Also, I saw the waiting list on an apple workers phone and it is huge!

What store was it at? I'm trying to stay patient but I don't know how much longer I'll be able to wait for it, I'm on the fourteenth day and have no signs of getting it soon (added myself to the list on may 8th). I really hope to get it next week at least! I wouldn't stand waiting more than 20 days!

I am like you. May 10th at Fashion Valley store for a 16GB 3g model. Nothing yet. Since you were on the list May 8 would love to hear when you get yours, then I know I am least 2 days behind that

I just got the email for the fashion valley store 30 minutes ago! Still waiting on the UTC one but I don't know if I'll be needing that one any longer!

Did you pre-pay/order or do "notify me"? I was in the Apple store (SF Bay Area) on Friday evening and did a notify me and got an email on Sunday morning (today) that it was there and that I had 24 hours to pick it up which I did. Total time from putting my name on the wait list to notification that it was there for pick up was less than two days. I did not pre-pay/order online.

Reserved at 4 Apple stores and 2 Best Buy stores since last few weeks. At #2 now at one store since a week!!

Finally ordered online: Ships: Jun 8. 😟

I wonder if MacMall might have it? They don't say anything about the stock on their website. Any idea anyone?
