iPAd 3G Reserved at Retail Store-Delivery Time

Last week I reserved a wifi 64G while in Hawaii and it was ready 24 hrs later.

I than decided I wanted the WiFi plus 3G and rereserved on last Wed the 12th of May. Today the 19th of May I got my email. Of course I am no longer in Hawaii (where sales tax is only 4.7%!).

I do have reservations locally here in SCal and I think it is taking a bit over a week.

I reserved a 3G 32GB iPad on Friday May 7, 2010 at the South Coast Plaza Apple Store (Orange County, CA) and it was ready to pick up on Wednesday May 19 (email arrived at 10:12 AM on Tuesday May 18).

You guys are killing me with stories like this. I am waiting 2 weeks as of tomorrow. Ug...

so whats the general consensus on reservation wait times? 10-12 days average?

I ordered mine on May 4, 2010; like you am waiting. On May 12, not hearing anything from them and going over there plus calling about where I might be on the list; I ordered one from the online store. The arrival date is June 3, but I am thinking that Apple is just sending a few each day and holding most for the World opening. Then they will fill those of us from the US.

so i took the plunge! couldn't wait and got my 16GB 3G iPad at our student store yesterday! woo hoo! now i'm wondering if i shoulda gotten the higher capacity one (32GB or 64GB?). set up up last night and all went well without a hitch except I did notice that when it was plugged into my Powerbook G4 for syncing, it says "Not Charging"?! I guess that's not a big deal since I can use the regular plug it came with to charge it and not through my PB's USB port.

I don't think we know how long reservations are taking. How about if everyone "who has not received" their iPads list their order dates, Type of iPad and locations reserved at.

Mine was reserved the Apple store at Altamonte Springs, FL 16gb wifi-3g on May 7th

Received my "you will receive your iPad before you know it" email on the same day, and nothing since.

iPad 3G 16 GB at both UTC and Fashion Valley in San Diego on the 8th of may. Nothing!

iPad 16GB+3G got on the notify list 5/8 for the Irvine Spectrum Store in Irvine, CA... nothing yet.

My biggest fear is that their email gets marked as spam, so not only do I check my inbox all the time, but I look in the junk mail folder too! And yes, I do have their entire domain added to my safe senders list, but not taking any chances!

I've had two reserved at two Apple stores in the Houston area. Got emails for both of them in about a week and 2 days. Our local Best Buy got some on Tuesday but they didn't last long. That was their first shipment of 3G versions since the April 30 release date.

It took the SOHO store in NYC 2 weeks to get mine in. Funny thing though. I called and asked for info. Ten minutes later that I got a email saying it was in LOL coincidence??

Waiting this long and checking my gmail account every hour is taking all the fun out of getting my iPad! 15 days and counting.

Got my email at 11:52 this morning. I went and picked it up at lunch. Now all I have to do is finsh the work day before I can get it home and set up. I may unbox it and start chargeing it here at work.

It comes just about fully charged..
