iPad "misbehaves" when used with a MultiSIM - picks up/rejects phone calls

Hello Cupertino,

iPad 3G misbehaves when used e.g. with a MultiSIM card of T-Mobile Germany.

It is said to pick up phone calls and actively rejects them. Thus the "Main" Mobile Phone (e.g. the iPhone) will ring ONCE then the iPad will pick up and reject the call. (On T-Mobile Network, one cannot disallow phone calls for a specific MultiSIM, all Phones of the same number will ring simultaneously).

This is a really serious and embarassing bug, please fix it with next OS version.

Cheers,
Thomas

Sorry for late answer, but to view the problem from my angle here in Norway.
I use Telenor, and have dual cards.
At first I had one of the cards in a USB 3G-antenna. Worked perfectly, no phone hang ups. No problem for my provider either. There was no need for an additional data plan, I used the same data plan both for computer (MacBook Pro) and phone (android). What's so special 'bout iPod that I should need an additional data plan when I did'nt need it before? Quite simply nothing when it comes to connecting to 3G.
Netcom here in Norway have solved the problem by "turn off" phone calls on the card of your choice to put in their iPod. My provider (Telenor) tells me they can do the same thing when I asked them yesterday.
I bought an iPad 2 weeks ago in Nashville. I do not wonder why. It got the looks and is a lot of fun. Great for boring plailtrips. I used it extensively the first week, now I dont know...
It's quite expensive in that way. One week of use. 🙂

It sounds to me that a good bit of the true BUGS that are in Apples products are being explained away as "design decisions". As if doing so would make people think that some Apple genius knows better than the "mere mortal" consumers.

Face it, Mac Addict or not, Apple is not flawless. Neither is their products. Take the iPhone 4 for an example.

@dblnutcustard T-Mobile uses the same technology, just on a different frequency. The ability to surf and talk at the same time is not limited to AT&T only. T-Mobile has that capability as well. And with HSDPA+, speeds for T-Mobile are hitting 20mbps download. Eat that AT&T!

Also: The AT&T 3G network uses HSDPA/UMTS technology (High Speed Downlink Packet Access/Universal Mobile Telephone System), which makes it possible to enjoy a variety of feature-rich wireless services. It also gives AT&T the advantage of offering simultaneous voice and data services. That means you can talk and use the Internet at the same time. How's that for multitasking?
