AppleCare is valid worldwide?

Hello

I have just purchased AppleCare for the iPhone.
The reason being I will be moving overseas and wish to have some sort of protection in case anything goes wrong.

My question is, does the AppleCare valid worldwide?
My device is bought within the UK but if I take it to an Apple shop in Singapore, do they do repair/replacement there in case there is a fault? Or does Apple only fix it within the UK?

AppleCare+ offers local Apple hardware service when traveling around the world, subject to parts availability, and includes same-day service in most major metropolitan areas worldwide.

I just find it very interesting that the CSRs are telling you things that completely contradict what the printed AppleCare documents say.

It also contradicts the reports of people being outside their home countries who go to the shop for service and are told they will need to wait until they get back to their home country.

Factory warranty does not include global coverage, only when you have AppleCare that it will, according to the agent I talked to.
Can you confirm that they all have AppleCare?

Please read the warranty of the iphone:

It states the following:

"Apple may restrict service to the country where Apple or its authorized distributors originally sold the hardware product"

"If you seek service in a country that is not the country of original purchase, you will comply with all applicable export laws and regulations and be responsible for all custom duties, V.A.T. and other associated taxes and charges."

This basically means you will have to ship it to the original place of purchase, service it there, and figure a way to send it back to your current location.

That's what the terms said, not what I've been told by Apple staff.
So I'll held them responsible for misleading information if overseas Apple stores don't fix my iPhone.

So now I feel much more confidence after buying the AppleCare 🙂
