Can't copy large video files FROM iPhone to PC

I really do think that apple need to address this situation though....

i had a couple of 3GB videos which I wasn't able to copy. I tried this:

Itools worked like a charm, transferring a 1.5 gigabyte video to my win xp machine in less than 4 minutes!!!!

I am now transferring the rest of my old large videos from my iphone to my computer finally!!!!! yay!

The latest iTools seems to transfer files painfully slowly to my XP PC, and iExplorer is no longer free.

An alternative free solution is to use an FTP server on the iPhone, and then transfer using Windows Explorer (or any other FTP client on the PC).

I used FTP Media Server app on the iPhone. It's currently free and works very well:

• start FTP Media Server on the iPhone
• on the Windows XP PC, start Windows Explorer (or any other FTP client)
• in Windows Explorer's "Address" field, enter "ftp://your_iphone_IP_address:50000", where "your_iphone_IP_address" is as displayed by the FTP Media Server app on the iPhone
• find your iPhone's videos in Windows Explorer and click-and-drag or copy-and-paste as you like

Note that this method goes over wi-fi (instead of the USB cable), so the transfer speed may be limited by the speed of both the PC's and iPhone's wi-fi connections.

Note also that this approach has the advantage that, once the app is installed on the iPhone, you can transfer to practically any other computer (PC or otherwise, any operating system), without needing to install any special software on the computer, as virtually all operating systems already have an in-built FTP client (e.g. Windows Explorer, most web browsers, etc).

I've searched for several options over the past few hours. I ended up downloading an app onto my iPhone 4S called "Simple Transfer" for $1.99. It looks like there is a free version as well, but went ahead with the paid. I'm currently transferring an hour long video from my phone to my Mac by typing a short IP address (provided in the app) into my browser. It is about 1/4 of the way through the 60min download. Hoping all goes well. If not, I will follow this post with an update.

Also, the video would not show up in the Preview, iPhoto or Image Capture apps on my Mac. And I just saw the reply above this one with another iPhone app review. Looks like that's the way to go.

I tried your solution but unfortunately, it didnt work. In addtion, i tried few ways such as icloud,import videos/photos, downloaded itransfer but all of them didnt work 😟

pls help me.

My problem is; I have a video under Videos and its size is +6GB and I cannot tranfer the video to my PC (win 7)

Have you tried iFunbox? This what worked for me.

I just used this, and it worked perfectly! I had three or four videos that kept stopping my transfer each time, and this took care of it. It also allowed me to get the files straight out of the Smugmug camera app that I use a lot! Yay!

Late reply but faced this problem today - transfering large files from iPhone 4s to Macbook Pro..

One way to transfer a large file (mine was 2GB) is --> go to camera app of the phone, select the video to share and post it to youtube! Only thing you have to keep touching the screen -- if you let the screen go to sleep, the upload fails.

I had the same problem, but everything worked well after I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/download-ie3-pc.php) and now I can import my big file videos. I´m using win XP SP3 and Iphone 5 32 Gb.

I went to my computer clicked on my iphone and all my movies that had not downloaded were there. When I clicked on each one it downloaded them perfectly!
