UK Pre-order - "Shipped By" or "Delivered By"??

So, I pre-ordered my iPad, an O2 micro-sim and a case at 12.22am on the 10th May.

I notice my order status says "Estimated shipping by May 28th", so I phoned Apple to enquire as to whether I could expect delivery on the 28th.

The rep told me that some orders show "estimated delivery by May 28th" and some show "estimated shipping by May 28th"

Now, if it means they're not going to ship my iPad before the 28th..then I'm not too pleased!!

So the question is...does anyone in the UK's order status say "delivered by May 28th"??

i ordered mine at about 11am on the 10th. I have an e mail that confirms the order has gone through but it does not show on my online account???

I have spoken to Apple and they say my order shows no problem on their systems and that my order will be delivered on the 28th.

I did have someone in Apple tell me last week that i had slipped into the 7th june delivery date but have since had it confirmed about 5 times that it will be 28th.

I will wait and see, when does anyone think we will get our shipping e mails, should be due soon i think.

As I wrote in another thread:

I ordered one iPad with O2 Simcard on May 10th and it says: Shipment: 28th

Two days later I ordered another iPad (without any simcard) and it shows up:
Shipment: delivers by 28th.

I talked to the customer service and they told me that the one without simcard will arrive by 28th. The other will be shipped by 28th (and arrive therefor later)

Big thanks for that tip, you just made my evening.

Lol very sad to say guys, as I suspect many of you fellow UK users have worn out the check account buttons this week, lol I know I have.

Anyway this tip about checking just apple.com, and missing out the UK bit, has made a difference, on my UK store account it says, "not shipped", whilst on the usa only one, I get a "prepared for shipping",
so finally all good to go.

Can I just say , and I do hate saying it to, I honestly can not remember being this excited for any product release since I was 12, and santa bought my soccer kit....lol and I'm now 44, just feel s great, and I seriously can not wait.

Better live up to the hype, I think it will, my worst feeling these last 2 weeks, I had to sell my touch to fund this..so I have had no ipod or app pleasures for nearly 3 weeks now....

Good luck to everyone's deliveries....now to just find a good hard back case, at a decent price...

"Shipped on: May 22, 2010 via TNT International Express"

There is a Tracking # but it doesn't seem to work on the TNT website 😟

Used:
http://cgi.tnt.co.uk/trackntrace/trackntrace.asp

Ah, just spotted that's UK internal only:
+Please note that you may only track shipments sent within the United Kingdom from this page. If you wish to track international shipments are to be delivered outside the United Kingdom, please click here.+

Ok, followed the link but that's for deliveries from the UK not into the UK - how hard can this be?

Changed to the US website:
http://www.tnt.com/express/en_us/site/home.html

Used the Tracking # as a Consignment and as a Reference and both come up as Destination not found.

Tried the 'Need help? - Try our FAQs' and that's a broken link.

Guess I'll just have to wait and see 🙂
