UK Pre-order - "Shipped By" or "Delivered By"??

So, I pre-ordered my iPad, an O2 micro-sim and a case at 12.22am on the 10th May.

I notice my order status says "Estimated shipping by May 28th", so I phoned Apple to enquire as to whether I could expect delivery on the 28th.

The rep told me that some orders show "estimated delivery by May 28th" and some show "estimated shipping by May 28th"

Now, if it means they're not going to ship my iPad before the 28th..then I'm not too pleased!!

So the question is...does anyone in the UK's order status say "delivered by May 28th"??

Mine order too says "estimiated shipping :- by 28th May" I ordered 64gb 3g, plus case/sim/dock so guess if will be early june before it arrives 😟

Mine is telling me the following

Prepared for Shipment
Ships: Delivers by May 28th

So that reads to me like next Friday!

Mmm, I'll not be impressed if it doesn't arrive on the 28th! I wonder if I should cancel all items on my order except the iPad?

If you log on to the US site and you have already received the shipped email from Apple, you will see a tracking number. Go to TNT punch that in and you get full details.
I can see mine left Shenzhen today (17:15 their time) and will be at my local depot on Tuesday. But that doesn't help me as they won't let me have it I'm certain!

All very exciting, getting up at silly o'clock on pre-order day was worth it, I hope.

Recieved an email today from Apple to say that my iPad and case had been shipped.

My assigned carrier is UPS, however, upon entering my tracking number into their website it comes up with no details and try again later.

Still, very exciting stuff!

No email yet, but both uk and us apple store's show it as shipped.
The US site shows 4 tracking numbers - ipad, case, dock and camera kit, but those numbers do not yet work on the courier's site, so can't tell if they are all coming from same location.

my stat. is "prepared for delivery" since yesterday evening - but no shippment yet.
Does anyone know how long it will stay like this until it gets shipped?

All other stuff (case ect.) have already been shipped ?!!??

Tried that. Doesn't work for me. I went to Apple's US site and got the number and then I went to TNT's US and UK sites and neither worked.

Which TNT site did you go to and what exactly did you do ?

It seems to be working now on TNT's US site. However the information at least at the moment is quite basic. The destination is listed as London and the pick up date as 24/05/10. I suspect it will probably be delivered on 28/05/10

Hi all, I've ordered 2 different orders from the online store,

The first placed at 5:00 am for a 16gb 3G iPad with an o2 sim, this order currently says shipping by 28th

The 2nd is just the iPad dock this was ordered a few days later and the Order has changed twice today from shipped back to shipping by the 28th come on apple what is going on here,

My iPad 16gb with Wifi + 3g was purchased as soon as they became available around 12:30am.

I've called Apple and my bank to make sure everything will go through ok and on the US apple store it states that my order is 'prepared for shipment' yet no money has been taken from my account. Am I right in thinking that Apple wont take my money until the day it is shipped?? Ipad was ordered along with a dock and o2 micro sim and is stated to be dispatched for delivery on or before 28th.

No shipping email as of yet and still waiting for it to be announced as 'shipped' and I'm based in Coventry UK.

I ordered a 16gb ipad with O2 Sim. I haven't received an email yet, but just checked my status and it says "shipped on 22 April" so it looks like the Sim hold up may not be a problem.
