UK Pre-order - "Shipped By" or "Delivered By"??

So, I pre-ordered my iPad, an O2 micro-sim and a case at 12.22am on the 10th May.

I notice my order status says "Estimated shipping by May 28th", so I phoned Apple to enquire as to whether I could expect delivery on the 28th.

The rep told me that some orders show "estimated delivery by May 28th" and some show "estimated shipping by May 28th"

Now, if it means they're not going to ship my iPad before the 28th..then I'm not too pleased!!

So the question is...does anyone in the UK's order status say "delivered by May 28th"??

Hi Keith,

my order is exactly the same as yours, so I'm hoping to get the same "Shipped" good news soon. What time/day did you place your order?

Does anyone know if it's safe to cancel the SIM card from the order, or will this bump it to the bottom of the pile?

Phil,

I ordered at about 11am on the first day.

I didn't have any "preparing for dispatch" message or anything, so just keep checking. I've also just got my email.

I couldn't cancel part of my order, but don't think I would have for exactly the reason you state.

Grrrr, I've heard nothing. Ordered 05:24 on the 10th May. I wonder what part of my order is delaying things? 64gig 3G? Apple case? O2 sim? Dock? Extra charger?

Anyone ordered the same and has good news yet? I've got a horrible feeling I'm not going to get it on the Friday and what with the Bank Holiday Monday I'll be looking at into the next week. My status hasn't changed since I ordered on the 10th - 'shipped by 28th May'

I ordered a 32gb wifi/3g ipad with a O2 sim, i place my order a 12:02 am on the 10th may, the us site states my order is prepared for shipment, ships by 28th.
No email as of yet. An theres me hoping theyd be shipped in some sort of order according to when the orders were placed lol silly me 😉

I'm guessing it is not as easy as first come first serve, but rather what's in the order and what Apple have ready. I didn't place my order until about 1700 on the 10th but I just ordered a bog standard 32Gb Wi-Fi, which is now on it's way. 🙂

I placed my order at 13:30 on the 10th May ipad 64gb 3g, case,dock, got an email this morning to say it had been dispatched via UPS however when i go to UPS UK/US sites it does not regognise the tracking number, guess i will ahve to wait a while for hte sites to update

I cancelled the SIM on Friday evening and have now had the email to say ipad is on it's way for delivery Friday 28th - also my birthday!

I placed mine at 5am on 10 May, still showing prepared for shipment.
iPad 3G 64Gb, Case, O2 sim.
My dock has already shipped (ordered separately)

Where are they showing they are shipped from? China? Or a European site?

I've tracked mine through TNT. It left China on their time at 2030. No sign of it hitting UK shores yet.

Disappointing we can't track the UPS deliveries yet.
I got my shipped email for a 16GB iPad and Dock at 13:42 yesterday, but it is still not trackable.

If you look back through the thread you can see a few UPS deliveries.
Plus that is what is says on my track order page - UPS.
