UK Pre-order - "Shipped By" or "Delivered By"??

So, I pre-ordered my iPad, an O2 micro-sim and a case at 12.22am on the 10th May.

I notice my order status says "Estimated shipping by May 28th", so I phoned Apple to enquire as to whether I could expect delivery on the 28th.

The rep told me that some orders show "estimated delivery by May 28th" and some show "estimated shipping by May 28th"

Now, if it means they're not going to ship my iPad before the 28th..then I'm not too pleased!!

So the question is...does anyone in the UK's order status say "delivered by May 28th"??

I've only just received my processing E-Mail!, I have rang Apple and they said that I will be among the first to receive my in the June shipment. When do they take the money put of your bank as I am going to go to my nearest Apple store of its not soon?

I got an email on saturday night at 11:30 saying my order had shipped, previously the order status was saying "ships by May 28th".
All of yesterday the UPS tracking numbers didn't register on their site, and all of today it's the same except now the tracking has gone down on Apple's page too. The tracking number on the order summary is greyed out where it used to be a hyperlink to the tracking page.
This doesn't seem very smooth for Apple.
What is interesting is that the money has still not been taken out of my account. Not really complaining but it's odd nonetheless.

I am one of those who placed an order on the 10th, but my Order Status still shows 'not yet shipped' and 'ships by 28th'.

I ordered a 64GB 3g with o2 SIM.

I was like many getting nervous about the lack of an update when so many are now saying theirs are showing as shipped, so I called Apple and was assured mine would be with me on Friday, or a bit earlier and that at the moment they were being scanned as pallets rather than individually and so nothing would be showing up until they arrived at the depots of the delivery agents, and this would eb later today or early tomorrow.

my tracking number changed and when i enter it in the TNT site i get the following.
26 Mar 2010 08:19:00 Athens Shipment Delivered In Good Condition.
lol i am starting to wonder if apple knows what its doing 😉

Placed my order for a 32gb 3g iPad, Dock, O2 sim and bluetooth keyboard on May 11 at 19:05. Just had an email saying its all shipped and is due for delivery by the 28th. WooHoo!!! So relieved!

This thread has been a weight off my mind. My iPad shipped a couple of days ago but the original tracking number didn't work. The number on the US site shows a shipment delivered to Athens in March, and I see I'm not alone!!

Yep, tried UPS and TNT. Zilch!
Edit: I look on the US site and it gives the courier as TNT. The UK site says nothing.

I finally gave in and called them.
They said that the tracking information would be updated in 24 hours or so.
Also confirmed that it would be delivered on Friday.
(I ordered 00:01 GMT 10th may)

mine is the same case as yours. today, i found the reason.
it is because of camera kit.
in my confirmation letter, camera kit will be delivered in June.
although Ipad's date is 28th May.
so, i sent a e-mail to cancel the camera kit.

Mine is shipping via UPS, not been able to get any info on the shipping, but just now tried the ref number on the apple web site, not the tracking number they gave but the number starting 1ZW7V17 this is now showing details on the UPS UK web site as follows.
Status: Billing Information Received
Shipped/Billed On: 24/05/2010
Type: Package
Service: STANDARD
Weight: 2.00 Kg
