"The item you've requested is currently not available in the US store"?
I get this message every time I try and go to the home page of the iTunes store. It says it when I try to go to the music page too. But I can still search and go to the subsection's of Music and all of the other sections of the store. But why can't I view the home page? Is anyone else having this problem?
Yeah I'm getting the exact same error. I tried searching for upgrades but it's the current version of itunes and everything is fine. The problem is that I find my music through hours of genius sampling...lol... not by hitting a specific type or chart so I'm SOL on buying music for right now. I wonder when they'll have it fixed. Are they aware of it? What's the next step aside from this post?
Same with me! 😟 I was just looking at the top 10 songs in the iTunes Store, then I clicked on one them to get more info, and then, when I tried to go back to the homepage, it said "Your request could not be completed. The item you've requested is not available in the US store." What's going on here??!! In case ur wondering, I am running the latest version of iTunes, 9.1.1, on Windows 7. Also, I've tried restarting iTunes and everything, but nothing works! Please help me!
Wow i thought that this was only happening to me! i changed the country on my itunes to the UK to check out a band.. i switched back and then i couldn't view the home page... i thought i was stuck in itunes UK forever...
Getting same thing. I found that if I go to iTunes.com and click on a link to a specific song I can get on. But if I hit the Home icon button I get the error again. So the issue may be specific to the iTunes home page.
Same problem for me. I can view Movies, TV Shows, App Store, Podcasts, Audiobooks and iTunes U. I CAN NOT view Home or Music. This was the first time really using iTunes (new computer). I enabled Home Sharing right away before trying to view the iTunes Store, so I'm not sure if that is the cause. Not sure how to disable Home Sharing to test.
yeah, not to be redundant, but I'm getting the same thing. I get a lot of my music from the cards that you get in Starbucks and I can't get the songs now because I need to access the "redeem" icon which I can only get from the HOME page of the itunes store and everytime I try to open it I am reminded yet again that I am in the US....yeah, we know the drill... It's getting ooober annoying. It wasn't doing this a week ago, so it must be a recent thing. I just hope they make an update so we can get rid of this glitch. I too tried downloading the newest version and unfortunately I already have it. I want to be able to access the itunes store home page. Get on it Apple!
not to be repetitive but ive gotten the same message and even after i uninstalled and reinstalled itunes (because i already had the most recent version) i still got the same thing and its starting to get aggrivating.....help please!
Same thing happening here. I am really beginning to wonder if Apple really gives a **** about the consumer post-sale. Updates that crash iPod, iTunes that wont load. (rolling eyes) I wonder if this is going to be another week long endurance test of my tolerance...
