Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

"The iPhone cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found"

Can anyone PLEASE shed some light and - hopefully - help me... I used to be able to sync my iPhone with iTunes no problem... dead easy.

However, for some unknown reason - total mystery - all of a sudden it's started to 'refuse me'. Now, when I connect up, the things seems to go all through the motions of syncing, but at the end I finally get the following message:

"The iPhone "Dani's iPhone" cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found".

Funny thing is that after disconnecting, the thing does actually seem to have successfully synced!!!

It's a mystery, a puzzle... can anyone help? I don't know what is meant by "The required file cannot be found". What's happening?

Has anyone else encountered this problem and have they managed to solve it? If so, please, PLEASE... HOW?

Thanks,

Dani

Thanx everyone for the discussions. Deleting iPod photo cache did not work but unchecking and rechecking sync photos did work. Before, I was able to sync apps but not music or photos. I have no idea why it should have affected music but after I unchecked sync photos and went back and synced music it finally worked. Then went back to photos rechecked the sync photos box and it worked like a charm.😀

Now, if I can only get through downloading updates for my iPad and iPhone. I've been trying for days and days and continually get the same message: Problem downloading the update - network timed out - try again later.😠
