Keeping iPad in a truck all day

I have posted this question before and gotten some good advice but I was wondering if I got a cooler and got a gel pack or one of those things you put in the freezer and it freezes and wrapped it in a towel and put the ipad in one of those bags that you get in front of the frozen food that you put ice cream in to make it not melt in the grocery store and put it in the cooler as well, does anyone think that would work?

You don't need to do anything, except turn it off when in the truck.

They are shipped by airplanes in uncontrolled cargo environments, driven in hot 18 wheelers, delivered in trucks by UPS or Fed X with no environmental controls, etc....

Turn it off and put it under the seat or somewhere not in direct view. Let it sit out a few minutes to breath before turning it and and you should be fine.

The only thing I can think of is to leave the windows open on the truck.

I think this is going way beyond extreme. Just put it underneath the seat and don't worry about it.

Actually, that is the last place I would put it. The heat on the floor would be higher due to the exhaust pipe probably running directly below! 🙂

I guess it does get has hot in cars in San Diego. Here in FL, a car can get up over 120F in about 10 minutes so keeping the iPad under the seat is not going to protect it from being inside an "oven".

I wouldn't call 120 degrees an "oven." So you guys don't think cars have electronics in them? How do they survive?

You might look into something like this:

Could use it wothout a gel pack. If kept out of direct sunlight might insulate the ipad well enough.
