This is just unbelievably frustrating, I mean ***, they couldn't release this information until the day of pre orders??? Talk about screwing the loyal fan base. Between this & AT&T's recent shenanigans, I'm seriously gonna look into an Evo. Earth to Apple, WTH is going on over there???
Just woke up for work on the east coast and figured I would order before I went to work and ***, white iPhone 4 not available for pre-order?? What kind of BS is that???
This is ridiculous. I stayed awake, thinking I'd be rewarded. I figured, surely if the supply of White iPhone 4s is low, they'll give them out at apple.com on a first-come, first-served basis. What a kick in the face! We didn't even get word that the story was true except from a bloody leak at AT&T! They're supposed to be what ***** about having an iPhone, not Apple!
I wouldn't care if I hadn't stayed up for this, thinking it would elevate my chances of getting what I wanted. I really wouldn't care if Apple let us know in advance. And I really, really wouldn't care if they gave us the real release date for the iPhone that a substantial number of us want. This doesn't make sense. Either a major SNAFU took place, or Apple has a plan to make the white one more exclusive than the black one as it always has in the past.
Now I get to be sleep-deprived tomorrow, with nothing to show for it. When I wake up, if there isn't a newspost explaining this mess, I'm calling Apple. I've already emailed Steve about it, and you all should too. Be brief and polite, and maybe we'll get an answer. For now though, I (and I'm sure all of you reading this thread) am one groggy, grumpy future white iPhone 4 owner.
Oh, and kick in the face number 2? The FAQs section. The first question should be:
1. Where's the white iPhone 4, and when will it be available?
But no. Instead, you read the FAQs question and think, "Really? They didn't even anticipate that one?" Come on. The excuse for this one better be good, Apple.
I just checked and it said the white iphone is unavailable, did they just run out of it or did they not have any from the beginning? Idk if I just missed the boat or if everyones just as surprised as me that this wasn't mentioned at all
i think it might come out later just as a ploy to attract more sales for the entire summer. gotta admit their thinking is smart marketing.
sadly i pre-ordered the black one because after a soul-searching journey i realized that while the white is nice... i still prefer the black one due to lack of distraction when looking and focusing on the screen.
