Angry Bird HD no sound, problem with iPad or app?

I had the same problem with game sounds not working on one of my iPads and while it seems that other people have fixed this problem in different ways my problem was fixed by:

1. Go to Settings - General - Use Side Switch To: and set it to Mute.

2. On the side of the iPad now use the side switch to turn it on/off and my sounds are back...

While this worked for me it may not work for you - everyone's unique I guess!! 🙂

IPhone 4. In a duh moment I turned the ringer switch back on. Angry Birds audio works fine.

Easy as pie....go to settings on your iPad!!! Go to general tab. There's a choice between "lock rotation" or "mute" for the toggle switch. Choose "mute" The lock rotation toggle can be switched to being a mute button or lock rotation button.

It worked for me. I amused how you figured out that. It is like Voodoo magic. :)

I just purchased a refurbished iPad 2. It worked fine, until Ioaded on some apps that I had already purchased for my iPod. Sound stopped working. My volume control button did not work, and the volume slider knob disappeared from my settings and in iTunes. I tried all the above fixes, with no luck. Then I read that the docking connection might be bad. I plugged in the docking cord and wiggled it up and down and Voila! I now have sound. Apparently, this is a rather prevalent problem, so it's worth a try. I have OS 6.0.1.

I Was having the same problem and just figured it out. I had changed my side switch from mute to lock rotation while the game was muted so it stayed that way. Go under settings, click general, and change to mute sound instead of rotion lock. Hope this helps.

Yup...that worked for me...i went to settings, changed my orientation switch to mute switch...and voila..sounds work on angry birds etc....u r a genius mane...

MWithersIT!!!! Dude! You ROCK!!! This was also affecting some other games for some reason amd it was driving me nuts.

Thankyou sleevemeister888 for your help. My angry birds game has sound now, everything was unmuted but there is still no sound, i'd tried everything others mentioned but it doesnt solved the problem. I also tried to switch it back and forth from mute to screen rotate but it didnt work also. but your method is life saver cuz im about to go insane because of it. Thanks so much.

Make sure your ringer switch is turned on. I forgot my iPad even had one!
