Iphone 3G OS4 problems

Just downloaded and installed the OS4 for my 16gb Iphonr 3G had no errors or anything installing it like some of the other guys have posted BUT!.... once installed my iphone has been very slow only word i can use to discribe it is "lagy" my iphone has only got like 6gb out of the 16gb used so it shouldnt be that i dont have many apps installed But why this lag? Once i click the home button to open the unlock screen 20 seconds later it will finally open i cant use my phone until this is fixed.

Mail: Just checked my mail inbox to find 2000+ emails which i have already deleted on the iphone and now ive got to go through and tick every single email to delete it wheres the "select all" button? the OS before OS 4 had this? and no way of getting emails which i have deleted back? once i click delete they are gone forever unlike the old OS it would put them in a deleted folder which i can click "empty" so it would be good if they could bring that back in the next update.

Thanks,

How did Apple fix your phone problem. I am ready to take my phone to the range as soon as I get a new non-apple phone. I even opened a ticket since I had Applecare on the phone and all they did was give 10 nonsensical things to do to work around the ****** software they pushed out.

Apple has stolen my working phone and gave me a steaming dog turd. If Apple had any integrity they would let us roll back to IOS 3 (You know the last responsive working OS for the iPhoney.

If you care to, please let me know how you got satisfaction for your iPhoney.

According to the two AT&T tech reps with whom I spoke, they have received "many, many" calls about the connectivity issue between the 4S and the Microcell. They didn't define "many, many". Is that important to you? It seems that using any internet search one likes, the traffic would seem to support the observations of the reps. Your comment about "suspicious motives" is bizarre. I am here soley to locate a useful solution to a product problem. If you have one that's great. If not, have a nice day.

Some problems people are reporting like poor App performance and crashing Apps are usualy caused by Updates than iOS 4. Every time a new iOS or iDevice is released, developers release updates to take advantage of new features and faster hardware. By doing so, this reduces the responsivenes on older devices. I recomend only updating those Apps you have to, or those you trust won't get worse. Big games I wouldn't update, smalled Apps should be fine.

I notice some lag in games on my iPhone 3GS, rarely, but still notice it. Every time they update the App with more advaced features for the hardware of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, the performance on the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS is reduced. Nothing much you can do but to stay away from some updates, read the update description first. Usualy it says "New features", "Bug fixes" or "Support for iOS 5 and iPhone 4S".
