iOS4 update - now iPhone now reboots during phone call

After about 4 or 5 mins in a phone call my iPhone 3GS reboots itself for no apparent reason. this did not happen before I put the iOS4 update on it. Is the some way I can stop this happening, or revert back to the previous version?

The exact same thing happens to me! After about 15-20 minutes. Incredibly annyoing, need rapid fix or I will have to switch phoe.

I have a 32 GB 3GS, and it seems to reboot about after ca 4-5 min, but not every time.
This is a big problem and the phone is currently not usable for business calls.
Waiting for a fix.

several people told that restoring as a new phone didn´t work.
even getting a new one from service 😟

It cant get much worse for me, so I took the plunge. Phone update should be finished momentarily.

I have exactly same problem. Have tried restoring but still get same problem. No joy downgrading either as apple would not verify 3.1.3

4.0.2 - just released today. I don't expect miracles since it allegedly only addresses a pdf viewing vulnerability.

*Be carefull with updating!*

If you want to go back to FW3.1.3 don't update!
The only method to downgrade from IOS 4.* to 3.13 given some post ago will be blocked.

If this is really true then it is very sick.
Then Apple uses an update not to solve the issue but to prevent users to use a workaround.
Its a pity that only the Norwegian site wrote an article.

I've got an appointment with a genuis bar on Saturday for this issue...now wondering if its actually worth the hassle to travel there if Apple don't recognise the problem....?
