iPhone OS 4 car integration

Dear all,
I'm facing a problem since yesterday's update of my iPhone 3G to iOS4.
I can't use it any longer with my car audio since I get the error message "no media found". This is on a new Renault Megane 3 with Arkamys Audio system. A similar problems occurs with Fiat's Blue & Me (also with an iPhone 3GS).
In some cases playback of music starts but crashes after a few seconds, alternatively it's showing the same effects as in the Renault. I found in the web a lot of people complaining about this problem with different audio systems. So, has anyone of you an idea about this problem, respectively an statement of Apple about this?

Mines not working either after the update. have a kenwood reciever and have tried both the hard reset and the resetting of all the general setting without luck. Even tried the trick of plugging it in when the phone was off and nothing. Anybody with any other ideas........ this is pretty miserable that we are even having this problem

YUP! iSimple not working with either my 3GS or my new iP4. I just get the "this device not supported" repeatedly. Tried the reset and no dice. Help!

If you are driving a Ford with SYNC, you can read about iOS4 incompatibilities in the message board at syncmyride.com ... SYNC has had software updates in the past, so there is hope for us now.

I did the General reset procedure and it worked for me. I am driving a 2009 Murano.

This worked for me, Except I didn't have them connected, I had just turned it off and back on again then connected it to the stereo and it all worked again, So happy

Controlling my 3Gs with my 2009 Nissan Murano worked fine with os 3.x but after the 4.0 upgrade, I can still browse my music library when connected via a wired connection, however when I select a song it will not play. I can select a song when the 3Gs is disconnected, start playing, then connect it to the car and it will play properly, but won't display the song info on the car's screen, nor can I pause/skip tracks. To confirm the issue started with the 4.0 upgrade, I tested my brother and friends 3Gs's which haven't gone to 4.0 yet, and they work properly, as mine used to.

I have the same problem, but with a pioneer radio. It plays music up to 3 seconds and then "no media found". Seems to be a probleme by iOS4. [2]

When the firmware was the 3.1.3 it works very well.

Frustrating.. its one of the reasons I upgraded to 3gs to begin with!! 😟
I tried resetting everything with my pioneer and nothing.. I wish I could reinstall os 3 back 😟

i have a jvc KD-R601 iphone compatible car radio witch doesn't play the music of my iphone annymore. on the internet it seems more people with all brands of radio's cant use it annymore.
with the old software it works fine but with OS 4.0 i get the following.
its starts normally and after 10 seconds it freezes and doesnt play my music no more.
could you tell me if you are going to fix this with an update? and when it wil be.

Hard reset while connected to car radio fixed it 🙂
