iPhone OS 4 car integration

My new Iphone 4 won't pair with my sony car sterio via bluetooth my old iphone did but no luck so far with the new one

My iphone4 4.1 wont play music on my B&M Hands Free when connected via USB.
It's not even able to browse content.
i'm able to pair via BT, so to use as handfree telephone, but music won't play either.

any clue?

I had the same problem although my iPhone is a 3GS - it wouldn't play music on my Alpine system in the car but since yesterday's software update (4.2) it is working fine, so this may work for you as well.

Since iOS 4.2.1, car integration is broken on Podcast support.

Phone : iPhone 4, iOS 4.2.1, iTunes 10.1
Car : Audi A4 09/2010 with Audi Multimedia Interface

Before iSO 4.2.1, i had a smart playlist with podcast episodes not played yet. Worked as expected in my car.
Now, with 4.2.1, if I donwload an episode for iTunes on the iPhone, the playlist says it is empty when displayed in AMI.
On my car screen, if i go to the podcast list, podcasts with new items are displayed as "Unknown" and keep loading. Then, if I unplug the iPhone from the car, the smart playlist says it is empty. But I can see the new episodes as unplayed in iPod app.

My new iPhone 4 will not hold its connection to the Handsfree phone system in my 2009 Cadillac CTS. I had no problem with my previous 3gs. I have deleted all phones from the system, successfully re-paired the 3gs, deleted the 3gs, successfully re-paired the 4, and, after turning the vehicle off, then back on again, the connection will not complete. The connection is recognized by both the vehicle and the phone but it will not complete the linking process. I can delete everything and then the phone will re-pair successfully but as soon as the vehicle is turned off, then back on again, the same problem recurs.

My Cadillac dealership has no information on this problem, nor does General Motors customer help. Very frustrating problem attributable, by my evidence at least, directly to the iPhone 4's lack of compatibility.

Have you found the solution to this problem? My stereo also says read format, doesnt play the music via usb.

I have a 2008 Ford Focus with the SYNC iPod connectivity. I have the latest SYNC software update installed in my car.

Twice now while playing songs via the USB connection with SYNC, my phone has suddenly dropped into recovery mode when it finishes playing a playlist.

Can anyone offer a solution ? It is really annoying having to restore my phone all the time !

Did you find anything that worked ? I have the same set up and can not find an interface cord either. I have the Iphone 32gs, and the Jensen MSR 3007. I've looked and called just about everywhere. Any help would be appreciated !
